ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, issued 219, Rome mint, obv. laureate draped and cuirassed bust to right of Elagabalus around IMP CAES ANTONINVS AVG, rev. Mars, naked except for cloak floating behind waist, advancing right, holding spear transversely and trophy over shoulder, around MARS VICTOR, (BMC 112-3, RIC 121, C.109, S.2104). Bright, extremely fine.
