MACRINUS, (A.D. 217-218), silver denarius, (2.90 grams), Rome mint, obv. laureate bust of Macrinus to right, around IMP C M OPEL SEV MACRINVS AVG, rev. Macrinus seated to left on curule chair, holding globe and sceptre, P M TR P II COS P P, (S.2055, RIC 27, RSC 51a). Very fine and scarce.
