CLAUDIUS, (A.D. 41-54), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 41-50, obv. laureate head of Claudius to right, around TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR IMP, rev. NERO CLAVDIVS DRVSVS GERMAN IMP around, triumphal arch surmounted by equestrian statue right spearing downwards all between two trophies, S C across field, (S.634, RIC 98, BMC 122). Weakness and worn with porosity otherwise, fine and rare.
