EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy III, (246-221 B.C.), AE 34, (33.12 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, looking forward, cornucopiae in front, chi-rho symbol between legs, around BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU, (S.7817, Sv.965, SNG Cop 174). Light porosity in places, otherwise very fine.
