EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.04 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front P (OK LATIN) over monogram PAR (Greek), around BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU, (cf.S.7773, Sv. 255, SNG Cop 70, BMC 59). Two light surface scratches on obverse, otherwise good very fine/nearly extremely fine.
