MACEDON, kingdom of Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.75 grams), Magnesia ad Maeandrum mint, obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus seated to left on throne to left with eagle in outstretched hand, to left and below throne monograms AT and MA, to right ALEXANDR[OU], (cf.S.6730, Price 1967, Muller 790). Flan crack, otherwise nearly very fine.
