MACEDON, kingdom of Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.12 grams), 'Amphipolis' mint, obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, in dotted border, rev. Zeus seated to left on throne to left with eagle in outstretched hand, to left monogram, to right ALEXANDROU and to left BASILEWS, (cf.S.6713, Price 120, Muller 863, BMC 120). About as struck, good extremely fine and rare thus.
