ZENO, (A.D. 474-491), gold solidus, issued in second reign at Thessalonica mint in A.D. 476-491, obv. helmeted bust to half right with elaborate dress, holding shield and spear over shoulder, around DN ZENO PERP AVG, rev. Victory standing to left holding long jewelled cross, star in right and left fields, around VICTORI A AVGGG, in exergue CONOB, (RIC 941, cf.S.4385). Extremely fine and scarce.
