MAXIMIANUS, (A.D. 286-310), gold aureus, Cyzicus mint, (5.30 grams), undated issue c. 286-293, pre-reform coinage, obv. laureate head, of Maximianus to right, around MAXIMIANVS AVGVSTVS, rev. around CONCORDIA E AVGG NN, the two emperors seated to left each holding a globe and parazonium, both crowned by Victory, (S.-, RIC 601 [p.290 Vol.V/2],, C.47). Small fan crack, otherwise nearly uncirculated and extremely rare.
