ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), gold aureus, issued A.D. 151-2, Rome mint, (7.25 grams), obv. bare head of Antoninus Pius to right, around IMP CAES T AEL HADR ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P, rev. PAX in exergue, around TR POT XIIII COS IIII, Pax standing left, holding branch and sceptre, (S.-, RIC 200a, cf.C.579). Perfectly centred, about as struck, FDC and very rare in this condition.
