BANK OF AUSTRALIA, Share Certificate for one hundred pounds, July 1, 1833, (18 printed), No. 2049 of Folio 119, made out to Thomas de la Condamine, signed by four Directors and entered by William Henry McKenzie as secretary, printed on unwatermarked paper, imprint on lower left of 'S(amuel) Clayton Sct.' of Sydney, with ornate decorative 'Certificate' design on left, black on white. Light toning in places on the back, otherwise very fine, extremely rare and very rare.

See note on the previous lot on this bank. Early bank share certificates are very rare and coupled with the preceeding lot and the next lot, do form a unique trio of related items pertaining to the Bank of Australia.
