EDDINGTON, J., Hobart Town, currency note, sixpence, May 1823 (year 1823 printed), No.64, hand signed by J. Eddington, on printed form, black on white, on vertical lined watermarked paper. Many folds, corners with gum adhesions on back, otherwise good fine, the note overall being in better than average condition for notes of this period, extremely rare and probably unique.

Eddington is not noted as an issuer by either McNeice (Tasmanian Promissory Notes) or Mira (Coinage and Currency in New South Wales 1788-1829).
