CEYLON, (Sri Lanka), Vijaya Bahu I, very base gold Kahavanunu or base stater, 1055-1110 A.D., obv. king standing holding sun symbol in left hand, other symbols in field, rev. king seated on stool with legend 'Sri lamka Bahu' (Bahu of Sri Lanka), (M. 831, Codrington Plate III, 73). Very fine, scarce.
