CLAUDIUS, (A.D. 41-54), imitative cast Paduan medal after Giovanni Cavino (1499-1570), of the sestertius of Claudius type obverse and Vespasian reverse, obv. laureate head of emperor to right, rev. Spes standing to left extending hand towards the emperor who stands between two soldiers, (Lawrence 15). Of fine style, nearly extremely fine, with old ticket.
