THEODOSIUS II, (A.D. 402-450), silver miliarense, issued Constantinople mint in A.D. 408-420, (4.26 grams), obv. bust draped and cuirassed to left, wearing pearl diadem, around DN THEODO SIVS P F AVG, rev. emperor nimbate standing facing, head to left, raising right hand, holding globe, star in left field, around GLORIA ROMANORVM, in the exergue CON, (S.4294B, RIC 370 (Vol.X), RSC 20a). Attractive tone, choice extremely fine and scarce.
