CARINUS, (A.D. 283-285), issue struck as Augustus, Antioch mint, billon antoninianus, obv. IMP C M AVR CARINVS P F AVG, radiate cuirassed bust to right, rev. around VIRTVS AVGG, XXI in exergue, E D above, Emperor standing to right, holding sceptre, receiving Victory from Jupiter (or Carus), (S.3477, RIC 325). Some surface pitting, but retaining much original silver, otherwise extremely fine/nearly very fine and scarce.
