COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 191-192, (3.83 grams), obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around L AEL AVREL COMM AVG P FEL, rev. around HERCVLI ROMANO AVG, Hercules standing left, holding club and lion skin in left hand, crowning trophy in right hand, (S.-, RIC 254a, C.202). Nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
