REPUBLIC, Mn. Cordius Rufus, (c.46 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.93 grams), obv. owl standing on Corinthian helmet, behind RVFVS, rev. aegis of Minerna with head of Medusa in centre, around MN CORDI[VS], (S.320, Cr.463/2, Syd.978). Lightly toned, very fine and scarce.
