SYRIA, Kingdom of, Philip I Philadelphus, (89-83 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.09 grams), Antioch mint, obv. diademed head of Philip I to right, fillet border, rev. Zeus seated left on throne, hold wreath wreath bearing Nike in outstretched hand, all within laurel wreath, on right, BASILEWS FILIPPOV, and to left EPIFANOVS FILADELFOV, to left N over A, (cf.S.7196, Newell SMA 436). Some minor porosity, otherwise extremely fine.
