SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VIII, (121-96 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.11 grams), Ake mint, obv. diademed head of Antiochus VIII to right, fillet border, rev. Zeus crescent above standing to left, holding star and sceptre, on right, BASILEOS and ANTIOCOV and to right EPIFANOVS, to left M, (cf.S.7143, LSM (ANSMN 84) 28, Houghton ACNAC 812). Nearly very fine and scarce.
