TROAS, Alexandria Troas, (c.3rd century A.D.), AE 20, (4.31 grams), obv. turreted head of City-Goddess to right, behind vexillum inscribed AV over AL, around CO L TROAD, rev. she wolf standing right suckling twins, around COL AVG, in exergue TRO, (S.4919, Bellinger 495, BMC 58-61). Delightful dark patina, extremely fine and rare thus.
