ATTICA, Athens, (300-262 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.90 grams), obv. head of Athena to right wearing ivy crested helmet, eye in profile, rev. owl standing to right head facing, in erect posture, olive twig and crescent behind, to right AYE before, all in incuse square, (S.2547, Kraay (Coins of Ancient Athens) Plate IV, 6; SNG Cop. 65). Mis-shapened flan of elongated form as usual, trace of blue tone, very fine.
