MACEDON, Kingdom of Alexander III (the Great), (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.16 grams), Memphis mint, issued c.323-316, obv. head of Herakles to right, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left with eagle in outstretched hand, thunderbolt to left downwards, DI below throne, to right ALEXANDPOV, (cf.S.6713, Price 3976, Muller 7, BMC -). Very fine with graffiti in field, scarce.
