MACEDON, Kingdom of Alexander III (the Great), (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.22 grams), Kition (Cyprus) mint, issued c.325-320, obv. head of Herakles to right, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left with eagle in outstretched hand, monogram of TK to left, to right BASILEWS, below A[LEX]ANDPOV, (cf.S.6713, Price 3107, Muller 1294, BMC 3107a-f). Heavy test cut on rim, otherwise very fine.
