MACEDON, Kingdom of Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.37 grams), Amphipolis mint, issued c.315-294 B.C., obv. head of Heracles wearing lion skin to right, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, L over torch, under throne monogram M,H and G, to right ALEXANDPOV, (cf.S.6721, Price 447, BMC 447a-e, Muller 37). Extremely fine.
