MACEDON, Kingdom of Alexander III (the Great), (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.04 grams), 'Amphipolis mint', issued c.320-317, obv. head of Herakles to right, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left with eagle in outstretched hand, dolphin to left downwards, P. below throne, to right ALEXANDPOV, (cf.S.6713, Price 133, Muller 542, BMC 133). Nearly extremely fine and scarce.
