SICILY, Syracuse, (c.440-430 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.87 grams), obv. quadriga to right, Nike flying above crowning horses, in exergue pistrix (sea serpent), rev. head of Artemis-Arethusa with diadem to right, around four dolphins, SVRAKOSION around, (cf.S.925, Boeh. 589 [V.291/R99]). Toned, very fine but with porosity on both sides.
