ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.300 B.C.), silver stater or nomos, (7.79 grams), obv. demeter head wearing corn wreath to right, rev. ear of corn, META upwards to left, plow to right, M[AN], (S.416, Johnsyton NN&M 164 series C1.19 same obverse die). Very fine/good very fine, scarce.
