ITALY, Campania, Neapolis, (c.340-240 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.29 grams), obv. head of nymph to right, pileus behind, rev. man-faced bull to right, crowned by flying Nike, below monogram TAAO, in exergue [NEO]POL[ITWN], (cf.S.308, Sambon 449a, SNG ANS 322 same obverse die). Small flan slightly off centred on obverse, otherwise good very fine, lightly toned.
