JOHN II, (A.D. 1118-1143), electrum aspron trachy, scyphate shape, issued Constantinople mint, (4.42 grams), obv. Christ enthroned facing, raising right hand in benediction, holding gospels in other hand, across IC XC, rev. John on left and St. George on right wearing nimbus, between them each holding patriarchal cross, to left legend in vertical columns, (S.1942, Hendy Pl.10, 2). Good very fine.
