JUSTIN II, (A.D. 565-578), gold solidus, issued at Constantinople mint in A.D. 565-578, (4.63 grams), obv. helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, holding globe surmounted by Victory, around D N IVSTINVS PP AVI, rev. Constantinopolis enthroned facing head right, holding sceptre and globe with cross, around VICTORIA AVGGGH, in exergue CONOB, (S.345, DOC 4g). With some original mint bloom, otherwise choice extremely fine.
