AKBAR, (A.H. 963-1014, A.D.1556-1605), Gold mohur, (10.695 grams), struck in Ahmadabad mint, issued A.H. 986 (A.D. 1578-9), mint signature off flan, attribution on style, obv. Kalima, rev. Akbar's name, date and mint signature, (BMC -, Punjab Museum Cat. -, Nagpur 26, Indian Museum Calcutta 81, KM. SAC 108.2). Short on flan as usual, otherwise very fine, scarce.

Ex. Spink & Son, London, Sept. 13, 1978 by private treaty.
