GROUP OF FIVE: 1939-45 Star; Air Crew Europe Star; Defence Medal; British War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal, F/O A.A. Gilchrist RAAF. Stars unnamed. Medals impressed. Good very fine.

Together with: Statement and Certificate of Service; copy of newspaper cutting; copies of telegrams reporting him M.I.A. and subsequent capture and imprisonment; copy of photograph and Caterpillar Club membership card. Pathfinder's badge and metal eagle badge and obsrver's wings. Flying Officer Arnold Archibald Gilchrist was shot down on 1 June 1944 over Tergnier France. He was captured and sent to a P.O.W. Camp at Bankau near the Polish Border. He was liberated by advancing Russian forces.
