FAUSTINA JUNIOR, wife of Marcus Aurelius, (died A.D. 175), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 161-175, obv. diademed draped bust of Faustina to right, around FAVSTINA AVGVSTA, rev. Hilaritas standing to left holding long palm and cornucopiae, around HILARITAS, S C in field, (S.1505, RIC 1642, C.112). Minor cut on neck and field behind, otherwise with a very attractive even dark brown patina, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
