PALESTINE, Roman Procurator of Judaea, Pontius Pilate, under Tiberius, (A.D. 26-36), copper prutahs, obv. lituus surrounded by Greek legend, rev. date in wreath, uncertain date, another Porcius Festus, under Nero (A.D.59-62) obv. Greek inscription in reverse, rev. palm branch, (S.5623, 5627, Hendin 114-115, 118). First has been cleaned, and rather corroded poor, second, otherwise nearly very fine. (2)
