ITALY, Lucania, Velia, (350/340-320/310 B.C.), silver stater, Period VI Kleudoros group, (7.46 grams), obv. head of Athena to left wearing crested Phrygian-type helmet, ornamented with centauress, rev. lion to left tearing prey, F below lion, VELHTWN in exergue, (cf.S.456; Williams 375 same dies). Nearly very fine, and scarce.
