MACEDON, Kingdom of Alexander III (the Great), (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.61 grams), `Babylon' mint, issued 317-311 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, MP monogram in wreath in left field, H below, (Price 3704, cf.S.6689). Apears rather water worn and consequently an uneven surface, otherwise good fine.
