1874CC. Fine, reverse perhaps a little weaker, some small digs in field to left of Liberty.
The diagnostic die crack through the mintmark is clear under magnification. An extremely rare coin with a reported mintage of 10,817, but only a fraction of that number now known; as late as 1988 Breen stated that 'possibly 6-8 known'.
Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
