DENARIUS ROME MINT OBV. Bare head right Rev. COS II Aesculapius standing left holding serpent wreathed rod (RIC 2;C.9;Sear -). Extremely fine and rare.

Aesculapius may represent Apollo Grannus, the Gallic god of healing; Gaul was one of the provinces under Albinus' control. Bought Coin Galleries 1981.
