DENARIUS ROME MINT (STRUCK C.44 B.C.) Obv. CAESAR IMP before Caesar's laureate head right, star of eight rays behind Rev. P SEPVLLIVS MACER, Venus standing left, holding Victory and sceptre resting on shield (Craw.480/5b;Syd.1071;Sear 359). Off centre, dig in flan on reverse, otherwise very fine and an excellent portrait of Caesar, rare.
