NEW GUINEA, Kina of the highlands, the most important of all New Guinea primitive moneys. Pearl shell crescent with native cord for suspension. A nice large example, illustrated in the Australian Coin Review, June 1990 (p.42) and on p.28 Mira, 'Cowrie to Kina', 170mm x 189 mm.
