TWENTY POUNDS, Cerutty/Collins (1918) X045539 (R.65a). Crisp and similar to the previous lot and the consecutive note to it, nearly uncirculated and very rare.

These two consecutive points are unique and offer an unrepeatable chance to own the ultimate for consecutive pair collectors. This variety (R.65a) is the rarest of the twenty pounds and was missing from the Nicholson collection. This and the previous lot are tied for the finest known.
