BYZANTINE LEAD SEAL, 6-7th century A..D., 24 mms, (12.16 grams), obv. monogram of **YEOTOKE BOHYEI, rev. **GEWRPW APO UPATW, (Zacos and Veglery, 818). Brown patina, very fine with dents.

'Apohypatos' indicates that the Official George was a former Consul.
