TRAJAN DECIUS, (A.D. 249-251), silver antoninianus, issued 249-251, Rome mint, obv. radiate bust to right of Trajan Decius, draped and cuirassed, around IMP C M Q TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG, rev. Dacia standing to left, holding standard, around DACIA, (RIC 13, C.27, cf.S.2693). Nearly extremely fine.

This reverse type celebrates the Dacian victory in reality a defense of the northern frontier around Dacia against Goths.
