CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 215, Rome mint, obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Apollo naked except for cloak from shoulder, standing to front head to left, holding branch and leaning on lyre on low base or altar, around P M TR P XVIII COS IIII P P, (BMC 1355, RIC 264c, C.287, cf.S.1935). Nearly extremely fine.
