ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), silver denarius, issued 152-3, Rome mint, (3.37 grams), obv. laureate, head to right of Antoninus Pius, around ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XVI, rev. Annona standing to left, holding corn ears resting left hand on modius filled with corn ears, around COS IIII, (S.1236, BMC 786, RIC 221). Attractive grey tone, nearly extremely fine.
