AELIUS, (Caesar A.D. 136-138), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 137, (3.32 grams), obv. bare head of Aelius to right, L AELIVS CAESAR around, rev. TR POT COS II around, PIE TAS across field, Pietas standing to right, before altar, raising right hand, left hand holding box of perfumes, (cf.S.1211, RIC 439). Attractive old tone, nearly extremely fine.
