ROME, Tiberius, (A.D. 14-37), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 14-37, (3.69 grams), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to right, around [TI CAES]AR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS, rev. PONTIF MAXIM, Livia seated to right, with vertical sceptre and branch, (S.567, RIC 30, BMC 48). Slightly of centre on obverse, well centred on reverse, otherwise very fine and very scarce.

Of Biblical importance as the issue is often described as the Tribute Penny (Mark 12: 14-17).
