GREEK SILVER COIN COLLECTION, Alexander III (336-323 B.C.), posthumous tetradrachm, Perga mint, issued 193-2 B.C., (16.87 grams), (cf.S.6713, P.2943); another drachm, Colophon mint, issued 319-310 B.C., (4.14 grams), (cf.S.6730, P.1794); Thasos, tetradrachm, issued after 148 B.C., (16.41 grams), (S.1759); Athens, new style tetradrachm, issued c.151-0 B.C. (Thompson date), (16.85 grams), (cf.S.2555, Th.557f); Corinth, stater, 350-306 B.C. mark of Gorgon head behind, (8.41 grams), (cf.S.3629, BMC 253); Seleucid, Seleucus VI (95-4 B.C.), Antioch mint, (15.17 grams), (S.7176); Rhodes, didrachm, (387-304 B.C.), (6.66 grams), (S.5037); Byzantium, tetrobol, (357-340 B.C.), (2.54 grams), Aspendus, Pamphylia, stater, wrestlers and slinger type, (385-370 B.C.), (10.95 grams), (S.5390), all mounted within sealed 110 x 150mm printed descriptive cards and these housed in cliplock album. The collection was prepared and sold by the Wurttembergische Bank (Germany) for 4500DM, with each coin ticketed and priced. Fine - nearly extremely fine, some scarce. (9)
