THESSALY, Larissa, silver drachm, 344-321 B.C., (6.08 grams), obv, facing head three-quarter to r. of nymph Larissa, rev. horse grazing to left, dotted border, rev. horse grazing to right, with bucranium brand on rump, AI below, in exergue LAPISAI, (Lorber, head type 11 (No.21), 21.2a, this coin described but not illustrated p. 267, cf.S. 2124 but finer style). Slightly off centre on the obverse with full flan on reverse, of finest style, nearly extremely fine and very rare type.
